Girls on Film at OC BrideWorld Expo 2009

OC BrideWorld set halls a-buzz Sunday at the OC Fairgrounds, with 550 brides and their entourages in tow! As the DJ spun tunes, laughter rang out, and smiles stretched across the faces of  brides, grooms, friends and families scouting out the perfect finishing touches for their weddings. With bags full of vendor information, freebies, food and samples, they hopscotched from booth to booth making the rounds, sure to stop by ShutterBooth to capture the fun on film.

Brides and groom-to-be, friends and their families provided a host of compliments to ShutterBooth, the best reward we can ever ask for!  Many were overheard saying, “Wow, this is big.  You can fit so many people!” and others complimented ShutterBooth on the picture quality, telling us it was the “The best I’ve seen in a photo booth!”

The SoCal booth was so popular they patiently waited in line for their turn behind the curtain and a chance to experience ShutterBooth getting a glimpse of the fun we bring to events!

We want to mention some of our favorite exhibitors: Typologie & Co. for fine invitations, Aida, Debbie and Melanie of the catering department at Knott’s Berry Farm Resort Hotel, Chelsea and Renee of Seacliff Country Club in Huntington Beach, Eva of Red Velvet Occassions for event planning, and Cozette of Princess House offering home parties and registries in home products.

Ontario BrideWorld Expo 2009

ShutterBooth was heating things up in the Inland Empire!  It was a scorcher in sunny So Cal and our exhibit was HOT, HOT, HOT!!!  Brides and grooms-to-be came looking for a day full of fun, ideas, food, and more fun and that’s exactly what they got.

Hats off, or in this case veils, to BrideWorld and the Ontario Doubletree Hotel for putting on a smashing expo.  We had the opportunity to meet hundreds of brides and grooms, with their friends and families, and treat them to the ShutterBooth experience. Seeing them have such a great time striking poses, dressing up in our wedding day props, and laughing behind closed curtains is the best part of the day for us.

We weren’t sure if the grooms and moms liked it more, or the brides themselves! One thing is for sure – ShutterBooth is a family affair that no one is too young or too old to appreciate. Some of the other spectacular exhibits included Petals by Xavi who will be followed next year on a TLC reality show (stay tuned), Rene Martinez of A-1 Event & Party Rentals (talk about some lux lounge furniture!), and Heaven Thornton, of Trendsetters Salon & Spa, who is a bubbly, unique special occasion stylist specializing in hair and airbrush make-up artistry.

So brides, the countdown is on ’till your wedding day and while you’re wrapping up all the details chew on this: fun is where it’s at, that’s why you have to be there!

LA BrideWorld Expo 2009

This season’s brides-to-be attended BrideWorld Expo at the Los Angeles Convention Center in the heart of downtown LA for the Southland’s largest gathering of wedding exhibits, planning ideas, retailers, entertainers, fashion, flowers, food and fun! The icing on the cake – pun intended – was a bridal fashion show and a CakeLand cake dive where 5 lucky brides-to-be were chosen to tear into a ginormous wedding cake with a $5,000 diamond ring buried inside. Finders keepers!

ShutterBooth was a smash hit, turning our inaugural event into a fun-packed two days.  We had the opportunity to meet nearly 300 brides and grooms, several event planners, and oodles of fellow exhibitors who were enchanted at the novelty of the ShutterBooth experience.  No bride went unadorned, as we dolled them up with veils, tiaras, bling rings, feather boas, and fresh floral bouquets courtesy of Magnolia’s Floral Design who were gracious enough to create three colorful, fragrant arrangements.  Check out the fun photos at our event gallery, and notice the grooms rockin’ our infamous tuxedo hat and black boa!  Three words – TONS OF FUN!!!

Some of our favorite neighbors included Jade and Chad with It Works! body wraps, Nida’s Boutiq Designs for glamourous invitations, Chuck with Eiland Video Productions, and the Embassy Suites gang from Embassy Suites Los Angeles International Airport/North.  Good luck and best wishes to all the soon-to-be married couples. June 25th marked the date – SoCal ShutterBooth headed to Motor City for live training.  From the start, it was a memorable day. RIP Michael Jackson, so long Farrah Fawcett, and hello Detroit. First stop – Hard Rock Cafe “Love All, Serve All.” Dinner and a celebratory toast to new beginnings, complete with a Raz Rita and an extra minty Mojito!  Cheers!

Three whirlwind training days, 10 Caribou coffee drinks, and two weddings later we were headed back to the sunny Southland bursting with energy, ideas, and excitement for what was ahead. A shout out is in order to Nolan and Kim, the brains and brawn behind ShutterBooth, for welcoming us into the ShutterBooth Family.  Hello world, it’s official…..Elvis may have left the building, but we have arrived!
